The Shaman: Book Two in the Dan Stone Assassin Series
Dan is dropped into the Chihuahuan desert to assassinate the head of the Sinaloa cartel. When his extraction is botched, his mission suddenly becomes more complex and dangerous. He flees into the desert where he gets lost and death threatens. There he meets a shaman who shows him the spiritual dimension to life and how Dan is part of a larger story going on, a battle between good and evil, light and darkness. The shaman takes Dan on a spirit journey and Dan’s world suddenly gets more complicated than he ever imagined.
The Indian mystic sends Dan on an additional mission which challenges his sanity and may cost him his life. Along the way he tries to save the beautiful wife and children of the drug lord he had assassinated. Dan has to complete the tasks given him by the shaman without help from his CIA handlers and then try to make it out of the country on his own.
If you’re a fan of Jack Reacher or Mitch Rapp, you’ll enjoy Dan Stone’s adventures in this action packed thriller.

Many new TwistsSomething completely different, but not entirely unbelievable to those of us who have traveled the world, experienced some of David Nees’ plots personally, and lived to see 80 years. If you do not believe there is a greater power this book will still be good reading. If you do, then it will feed your inner thoughts!

Very enjoyableEnjoyed this story a lot. Had several unexpected twists and changes that I did not see coming for this type of story.

good follow-onI like the author’s recognition of the spiritual element in the evil we fight. It’s not just flesh and blood. He introduces the spiritual in The Shaman.

Review of Captive GirlFirst I would recommend this book to everyone who likes to read. It’s the kind of book that holds your interest and always has something new to offer. Also like these types of story lines.

Twists and turns wound into a superb tailThe border line mystical involvement added in a believable way,and doesn’t make the story depend too heavily on it,or take away from the action of all the players involved while skillfully adding future characters, really make this book an enjoyable read.

A Good Series So Far!So I’m enjoying this author and the series so far. Some good action and drama as well as the spiritual element coming into play; which I would normally groan at but it’s pretty interesting so far.Fast moving and good research on the whole with few inconsistencies, but minor.Starting the next in the series presently……Thanks for a good read

Great seriesI’ve just finished reading the third book in the Dan Stone series. Dan has become an assassin recruited by Jane in employment with the C.I.A. After the murder of his wife and unborn child he agrees to take out terrorists before they can take any action. Dan has come to the attention of “watcher” a group of psychic shaman that guide Dan on his quests. A different sort of series but thoroughly readable.
